For the past three years, UCA’s student-athletes have partnered with Samaritan’s Feet for “Shoes of Hope” events, where money is raised and shoes are distributed to needy children in the region.

The 51ÇàÂ¥ dean of the Norbert O. Schedler Honors College was given the National Collegiate Honors Council’s 
(NCHC) Sam Schuman Award for Excellence at a Four Year Institution.

Robert “Bunny” Adcock was reappointed to the 51ÇàÂ¥ Board of Trustees by Gov. Asa Hutchinson in December 2015.

Following a months-long assessment of the 51ÇàÂ¥ brand, communications and recruitment materials, an updated academic logo was unveiled to students, faculty and staff on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016.

Dr. Jimmy Ishee, dean of the 51ÇàÂ¥ College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, has been designated a 2016 Fellow of the National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE).

The gift will help outfit the Department of Nursing with a high-fidelity manikin, which is a patient simulator that aids students in training to work with real patients in the field, as well as cameras, microphones, a control station and other equipment to record student performance.

In this role, Hammond will provide overall leadership to Campus Recreation, including overseeing the Health Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Center that reopened in fall 2014 after undergoing extensive renovation and expansion.

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) named 51ÇàÂ¥ Athletic Director Dr. Brad Teague a 2015-16 Athletic Director of the Year in March.

51ÇàÂ¥ President Tom Courtway and now retired Arkansas State University-Beebe Chancellor Dr. Eugene McKay signed the 17th transfer agreement between the two institutions.
