What do you need to do to write a proposal, create a budget, and prepare for submission to a sponsor?
During the Proposal Development phase, the proposal is crafted, the budget is formulated, and the entire proposal package is readied for sponsor submission. It’s important to distinguish this process from the later stages of routing and submitting your proposal through Cayuse.
The bulk of your proposal preparation will occur within your respective school, college, department, or unit. You might need to consult the Office of Grants and Sponsored Research (OGSR) for help in negotiating and reviewing sponsor agreements, as well as for additional support in proposal development.
If a proposal is submitted at least six weeks before the submission deadline, the OGSR will be able to fully assist in the project narrative and budget development (among other services).
