Fall 2026 Membership Expectations
Required monthly attendance: Success Coaching
- Group Coaching to learn strategies for starting strong at UCA and to meet other Bear Life students.
- Personalized One-on-One Coaching with peer student coaches who are dedicated to guiding first-time entering students through college academics and expectations. Bear Life members may schedule the meeting at a time of their choosing based on our coaches’ availability through an email link.
- Wellness Check-Ins (one per semester) with a graduate coach.
- Meetings typically last about an hour.
Attend Two Academic Success Workshops
- Choose any two weekly workshops involve various topics, from setting yourself up for success, to career planning. Most are held during X-Period (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30 p.m. – 2:40 p.m.) with additional pop-up sessions for Bear Life students.
Track 5 hours of study time per week.
Bear Life members may track this time in:
- the Student Success and Veterans Resource Center, including the Bear Burrow
- UCA Torreyson Library
- Tutoring and Academic Support Center (TASC) – Torreyson Library #223
- Center for Writing and Communication – Thompson Hall #109
- ABC Lounge in OSAC – Bernard #207
- Study rooms in your LLC
Complete the two extra activities each semester.
Fall Options:
- Attend the Majors Fair (October)
- Start your Bear Bucket List
- Complete a Personal Finance Learning Module
- Attend a tutoring session (TASC, CWC, or other approved locations)
- Complete a Student Lingo video workshop (via myUCA)
- Complete the Focus 2 Career assessment, a résumé workshop, or attend a Career Fair
