Caren Mongadji

Caren se spécialise en sciences politiques à l’Université Centrale d’Arkansas (UCA) avec une deuxième spécialisation mineure en français. Pour ce projet, elle s’occupe principalement des interviews et comme tout un chacun des membres du projet, elle participe également à la recherche de personnes pouvant être intéressées en étant interviewer. Caren est une jeune africaine de nationalité béninoise (un pays de l’Afrique de l’Ouest). Dans son temps libre, elle aime beaucoup lire, passer du temps avec ses amis, faire de nouvelles connaissances, apprendre de nouvelles recettes de cuisine, et bien évidemment dormir. Caren aime aussi beaucoup voyager et donc découvrir de nouvelles cultures. Elle adore faire des débats ou assister peu importe le thème discuté. Lorsqu’elle aura obtenu son diplôme, elle souhaite travailler dans une organisation internationale et pourquoi pas dans un ambassade avec pour objectif premier de représenter son pays le Bénin. Caren voudrait également devenir une écrivaine de roman ou d’un recueil de contes basés sur nos cultures africaines ancestrales.

Caren is majoring in political science at the 51ÇàÂ¥ (UCA) with a second minor in French. For this project, she is mainly in charge of the interviews and like all the members of the project, she also participates in the search for people who might be interested in being interviewed. Caren is a young African woman of Beninese nationality (a country in West Africa). In her free time, she likes to read a lot, spend time with her friends, meet new people, learn new recipes, and of course sleep. Caren also loves to travel and discover new cultures. She loves to debate or assist in any topic that is discussed. After her graduation, she would like to work in an international organization and why not in an embassy with the primary objective of representing her country Benin. Caren would also like to become a writer of a novel or a collection of tales based on our ancestral African cultures.

Emily Breniman

Emily se spécialise en histoire à UCA avec une deuxième spécialisation mineure en français. Pour ce projet, elle s’occupe principalement de la numérisation et l’archivage des entrevues et aider à la traduction des entrevues. Emily vient de Little Rock, Arkansas. Dans son temps libre, elle aime voyager, regarder des films, et acheter de nouvelles plantes d’intérieur. Lorsqu’elle aura obtenu son diplôme, elle souhaite continuer ses études d’histoire.

Emily is majoring in History at UCA with a minor in French. For this project, she is primarily archiving/digitizing interviews and aiding the translation of them. Emily is from Little Rock, Arkansas. In her free time, she likes to travel, watch movies, and buy new houseplants. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, she would like to attend graduate school for History.

Kerston Hadley

Kerston se spécialise en français à UCA avec une deuxième spécialisation mineure en l’enseignement. Pour ce projet, elle s’occupe principalement de l’organisation et la direction de l’équipe de stagiaires et la traduction des entrevues. Kerston vient de Cabot, Arkansas. Dans son temps libre, elle aime essayer du nouveau café et passer du temps avec sa famille et ses amis. Lorsqu’elle aura obtenu son diplôme, elle souhaite continuer ses études et commencer à enseigner.

Kerston is majoring in French at UCA with a minor in teaching. For this project, she is primarily directing the team of interns and translating interviews. Kerston is from Cabot, Arkansas. In her free time, she likes to make and try new coffee recipes, and spend time with her family and friends. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, she hopes to get a master’s degree and begin teaching.

Linda-Diane Bates

Linda se spécialise en la linguistique et le français à UCA. Pour ce projet, elle s’occupe principalement de la transcription des entrevues et la traduction des entrevues. Linda sera bientôt diplômé. Dans son temps libre, elle aime écouter des livres audio et la musique, pratiquer le roller, et jouer aux jeux vidéos. Lorsqu’elle aura obtenu son diplôme, elle voudrait enseigner l’anglais à l’étranger ou faire des recherches de terrain sur les langues sous-représentées..
Linda majors in linguistics and French at UCA. For this project, she is mainly responsible for the transcription of interviews and the translation of interviews. Linda will soon be graduating. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks and music, roller-skating, and playing video games. When she graduates, she wants to teach English abroad or conduct field research on underrepresented languages.

Aïcha Daire

Hey, my name is Aïcha! I am a student currently pursuing a major in International Relations and minoring in French at the 51ÇàÂ¥. My passion for understanding different cultures and their unique ways of life led me to choose this field of study. I am always looking for opportunities to broaden my horizons and enhance my skills.

My ultimate goal is to become a diplomat. As a diplomat, I hope to promote international cooperation and understanding between countries. I believe that communication and collaboration are keys to resolving conflicts and creating a peaceful and prosperous world.

I am currently doing an internship where I am responsible for conducting and recording interviews with interviewees in French. Additionally, I will be playing a secondary role in verifying the orthographic and grammatical accuracy of full transcriptions in French. This experience will allow me to enhance my speaking skills and will also help me gain practical experience in the field of international relations.

I am fluent in French and also proficient in English.
In my free time, I enjoy reading books on world history and international politics. I also enjoy traveling and have been fortunate enough to visit several countries.

Salut, je m’appelle Aïcha. Je suis actuellement étudiante en Relations Internationales avec une spécialisation en Français à l’Université Central Arkansas. Ma passion pour comprendre les différentes cultures et leurs modes de vie uniques m’a amenée à choisir ce domaine d’étude. Je suis toujours à la recherche d’opportunités pour élargir mes horizons et améliorer mes compétences.

Mon objectif ultime est de devenir diplomate. En tant que diplomate, j’espère promouvoir la coopération internationale et la compréhension entre les pays. Je crois que la communication et la collaboration sont les clés pour résoudre les conflits et créer un monde paisible et prospère.

Actuellement, je fais un stage où je suis responsable de la conduite et de l’enregistrement d’entretiens avec des interviewés en français. De plus, je jouerai un rôle secondaire dans la vérification de l’exactitude orthographique et grammaticale des transcriptions complètes en français. Cette expérience me permettra d’améliorer mes compétences en expression orale et m’aidera également à acquérir une expérience pratique dans le domaine des relations internationales.

Je parle couramment le français et je suis également compétente en anglais. Pendant mon temps libre, j’aime lire des livres sur l’histoire du monde et la politique internationale. J’aime aussi voyager et j’ai eu la chance de visiter plusieurs pays.
