With over a decade of experience in higher education, Dr. Evan W. Faidley is committed to supporting and guiding today鈥檚 and tomorrow鈥檚 leaders to tap into their scholarly identity (grounded in curiosity) while developing their practitioner (professional) talents. He draws from聽his experiences as a first-generation undergraduate student, graduate student, and professional to uplift students, faculty, and staff as they navigate terrains of uncertainty and belongingness. Dr. Faidley鈥檚 interdisciplinary background in community collaboration, advising, college teaching, and research has shaped his self-concept and purpose: helping others find success as they transition into new chapters of life. This mission drives his efforts to design rich and rigorous teaching and learning experiences (in and out of the classroom) with mental health in mind, build relationships, and prepare leaders for a world-class workforce.
