BEAR Life
Bear Life is UCA’s free first‑year success program designed to help you navigate that transition with confidence.

First-Generation Families — First-Year Students
A first-generation student is a college student who is the first in their family (one or more parent does not have a four-year college degree) to go to and graduate from college. Having a student who is the first member of a family to attend college brings a great sense of pride to a family. For parents of a first-generation college student, we want to help you navigate this transition for you and your student.

FirstGen@UCA
°Õ³ó°ù´Ç³Ü²µ³óÌýFirstGen@UCA, you’ll find opportunities to connect with fellow first-generation students, participate in engaging programs and events, access campus resources, build relationships with supportive faculty and staff, and celebrate your achievements throughout your college journey.

First Year Experience
Whether you are a first-time entering freshman, a transfer student, or non-traditional student, the Department of First Year Experience is here to assist you in any way possible. Our goal is to make this transition smooth and simple and to help you get the most out of this incredible journey that stands before you.

Summer Start
UCA Summer Start is a summer bridge program designed to help our new Bears transition from high school to a successful freshman year. It’s a great way to start early and start right at UCA!

UCA Family Network
The UCA Family Network is dedicated to helping families with their transition into the University and offering support, information, and problem-solving throughout a student’s career at UCA. The Family Network offers opportunities for families to more closely partner with the university and will help lead you to UCA services and resources to support your Bear’s success.
