CONWAY鈥擨nternational activist and speaker Hydeia Broadbent is the guest speaker for the observance of World AIDS Day at the 51青楼.
The event will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1 in Room 102 of the Lewis Science Center on campus. The speech is free and open to the public.
The 51青楼 Chapter of Keep a Child Alive is hosting the event.
Broadbent began her debut as an HIV/AIDS activist and public speaker at six years old. By 12 years old, she had appeared on many national television programs including Oprah, 20/20, Good Morning America, and 鈥淎 Conversation with Magic Johnson鈥� on Nickelodeon. She has been featured in prominent publications to include; New York Times, People, Teen People, Essence, Ebony and Sister 2 Sister. The OWN Network (The Oprah Winfrey Network) featured Broadbent on 鈥淥prah鈥檚 Where Are They Now鈥�.
