Choral Ensembles

UCA Choirs

The 51ÇàÂ¥ Choral Department, under the direction of Dr. Frank Eychaner, Ìýconsists of two auditioned ensembles (Concert Choir and Chamber Singers) and two non-auditioned ensembles, the Tapestry Treble Choir and the Natural Statesmen Tenor-Bass Choir. We are committed to the personal and musical growth of each singer, as well as the enrichment of both students and audience members. Choir members come from a variety of disciplines and majors across the university, andÌýscholarships are available regardless of major. There is a place for you in the UCA Choirs.

 

Concert Choir

The 51ÇàÂ¥ Concert Choir a large ensemble open to all UCA students, regardless of major. The ensemble performs advanced choral literature from a wide variety of time periods and genres. This ensemble has a long-standing tradition of excellence and has been invited to perform at National and Regional conferences of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Concert Choir’s fast-paced rehearsals reinforces the vision of providing the highest-quality experience for its performers and audiences.

Chamber Singers

The 51ÇàÂ¥ Chamber Singers is a small, select group of singers which performs the most challenging of vocal literature. The ensemble performs a cappella and accompanied works reflecting a variety of styles and genres. Membership is open to all students regardless of major. Students must also be enrolled in Concert Choir.

Tapestry Treble and Natural Statesmen

The Tapestry Treble Choir and Natural Statesmen Tenor-Bass Choir are open to all students, regardless of major and prior singing experience.Ìý The ensembles perform a variety of choral literature from all eras and serves to acquaint the singers with many vocal styles and forms.
