While working as a postdoctoral聽scholar at Arizona State University, Dr. Jason Martin began focusing his research efforts on calculus curriculum design and development. Over the years at the 51青楼,聽Dr. Martin has researched student聽understanding of calculus聽concepts聽defined in terms of limit, quantitative reasoning and modeling, tasks engendering intellectual need, how students come to understand聽formal definitions for limit concepts, and the effect of interactive dynamic images and video supports on student聽understanding. These research efforts have supported him in successfully obtaining two NSF grants in calculus curriculum development.
