Posters at the Capitol Wednesday 2/20/19

More than 110 undergraduate students will present 70 posters highlighting their original research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm in the Arkansas State Capitol Rotunda in Little Rock.

The 51青楼 is the primary organizer of the event, with support and participation from the Arkansas STEM Coalition, Arkansas State University, and Arkansas NSF EPSCoR.聽 This marks the seventh year for the Arkansas STEM Posters at the State Capitol.聽聽For more information about the event, .

The College of Science and Engineering 24th Annual Poster Symposium will be held on April 20, 2018 in the Farris Center Gymnasium from 1 – 3 pm.聽 Deadlines below:

Abstract submission:聽Due by April 9, 2018 at noon.

Poster submission:聽Due by April 16, 2018 at noon.

Women in STEM Celebration 3/9/18

The Women and Minorities in STEM class is hosting a Celebration of Women in STEM on聽Friday, March 9 with speakers in Griffin Planetarium.聽 A lunch will be served at 11:30 am in Lewis Science Center 100,聽followed by a panel discussion with diverse STEM professional women.聽 Also, UCA’s STEM Institute will be hosting an event for central Arkansas high school girls in the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center.聽 For more details, please see UCA News.聽 Registration is required for the lunch at聽

UCA Day of Giving, 3/8/18

UCA’s Day of Giving is Thursday, March 8, 2018.聽 The College of Science and Engineering has two different funds from which donors can choose — the CNSM Advancement Undergraduate Research Fund or the CNSM Enhancement Fund.

CNSM Featured in UCA Magazine

New Planetarium Show

The “Edge of Darkness” is showing at Griffin Planetarium, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm on 10/6, 10/7, 10/13 & 10/14.聽

The one-hour show include a tour of the聽evening sky, flights around the universe, and the new full-dome movie聽“Edge of Darkness” which features discoveries of space missions to comets, asteroids, and outer solar system worlds.

The planetarium is located in the Conway Corporation for the Sciences. Doors open at 7:30pm and close promptly at 8 pm. Seating Limited!
