Dr. Darshon Reed is the Associate Dean of the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences and Associate Professor of Psychology. She is a native of Oklahoma and moved to the state of Arkansas in 2012 to join the Psychology & Counseling Department.
Dr. Reed currently oversees the college’s Arkansas Geriatric Education Collaborative (AGEC) grant which expands and improves educational opportunities for practicing health professionals, faculty, and students who will be the next generation of providers, direct care workers, first responders, and family caregivers. This grant specifically provides geriatric and aging experiential learning opportunities (Interprofessional education, clinical placements, virtual reality, and community health activities) for undergraduate and graduate students in the college.
Dr. Reed also supports faculty, staff, and students in her role as Associate Dean through faculty mentoring, committee support resource allocation, and student leadership development.
